The story goes like this, once during the Buddha's lifetime, a group of monks began teaching some ideas contrary to the teaching of of truth.People became confused, and when they asked the Buddha whose idea they should accept,he gave a reply which showed his utter confidence in the truth and in the people's ability to understand it .Then he said to them,
" you should listening to the teaching form both sides, and having heard the teachings from both sides, choose the views, the side, the persuasion and the doctrine of those who speak."
He did not tell them who to believe; he suggested that they listen to both points , consider them carefully and then draw their own conclusion.we should do the same.
even after we have formed our beliefs, its essential that we hold them in a flexible way , continuing to keep our mind open.
Some people mistakenly think that being fiercely dogmatic and refusing even to listen to other points of view is proof of their conviction.
After they have adopted a particular religion, they become incapable of learning anything new, of seeing their belief from any angle but their own *,or gaining a deeper insight into their religion through interpretation. As a result they often get involved in squabbles with others concerning what of not the truth.
*(i feels that everything is even changing at every second of our lives. why are we all so hard on others beliefs which i really feels that its so unhealthy and so wrong.) ,
the problem of not seeing the whole picture of other people belief and the situation its really like calling a group of blinds touching different parts of the elephant and expect them to know what is an elephant, probably different blinds will have visual image in their minds.
The one who feels the task will probably thinks that a elephant is hard and his answer and preceptions is totally wrong and it its probably those comments and preception u give about others !
there is no point forcusing all bad points of something and forgot about their strength...
its like u are blame for a small mistake where u did more that 1000 good things...its important to feel how others feel...
easy to say hard to do ?
so please think thrice if u need whenever u give any comments ! cause i may hurt ...cause u might interpret worse...at least u have eyes !
this also apply to everything in life !
